Benefits

  • CME Programs are offered by the MSA. The MSA Semiannual Meetings in November and April offers approximately 6.5 CME (Category 1) units.
  • Patient Information. You may refer patients to the MSA and ASA Web site for ASA patient information brochures.
  • Legislative:  Programs are voluntarily provided to help governing personnel in decision on anesthesia care.
  • MSA Committees offer opportunities to become actively involved in studying, discussing and recommending action on numerous scientific, legislative, administrative, and other anesthesiology-related issues. Serving on committees is an excellent way to get to know your colleagues around the state and to become better informed on issues of mutual interest and concern.
  • Representation at ASA, MSA and AMA insures MSA's voice in state and national decisions and in organized medicine. The MSA is a component society of the ASA. MSA membership levels must continue to grow to assure an adequate number of delegates and strong representation at meetings of state and national organizations.
  • Executive Committee Meetings are open to all MSA members.  Every MSA member has an opportunity to express their views and recommendations on issues before the committees to be presented to the House for action and adoption as policies of the MSA.
  • The MSA Web Site is the timeliest means of providing information to MSA members and is regularly updated to serve as a valuable, informative resource. The MSA Office E-mail address is office@minnesotasocietyofanesthesiologists.com.
  • Resident Delegates from every academic program in Minnesota participate in governance activities at the MSA and ASA levels with the support of the MSA.
